Women for Peter Brown Meets

Twenty women met yesterday to kick-off the Women for Peter Brown steering committee. The women have organized themselves to broaden Council Member Peter Brown’s already strong support among female voters.

The group plans to host meetings to discuss issues of importance to Houston, participate in get out the vote activities, and reach out to their friends and colleagues to spread the word about Peter.

At the meeting Council Member Brown spoke about his commitment to lowering taxes, improving public safety and expanding the City's economy.

In explaining their reasons for supporting Brown, each of the women spoke of his consistent support for their communities over time. They all emphasized his ability to work effectively with a diverse coalition on all types of projects and expressed their passion for helping him become the next Mayor of the City of Houston.
